YOUNG, FEARLESS and SMART.
Does your COMPANY know how to Break Through The CLUTTER?

In a time of overwhelming noise and clutter in the media, it has become increasingly harder for companies to be noticed or make their message heard.

Keeping employees loyal and happy to continue their contribution to your company's growth is no small task either, in an era where job hopping has become almost an Olympic sport. It is not breaking news that smart companies say it with a song. Even politicians resorted during this mid term election political campaigns to jingles to help voters remember their names long enough to vote for them. Why not follow their lead and “say it with a song”.

Get a versatile and scalable Jazz band like Gerry Grimo to help you get your message out this holiday season. Whether you need a full 13 piece Jazz Ensemble for a New Year's Eve party or a Corporate Function or a duo: a pianist and an upright bass for a 'Thursday night' dinner or cocktail hour special, Gerry Grimo and the East Bay Jazz Ensemble can accommodate.

Gerry Grimo will help your company get a clear message out to your valuable customers, your loyal employees or anyone else for that matter. Besides what is old is new again. Take the Lindy Hop for instance. Diners and cafes around New England are finding out that even younger audiences love this style of music, if given a chance. What style of music is this? The toe tapping heart throbbing music that your parents and grandparents listened to, music played by Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Harry James, and Glenn Miller.

In a period of discovery and when what is old is new again, Gerry Grimo and the East Bay Jazz Ensemble (EBJE) find out that more and more smart companies book them for successful corporate functions, fundraisers, concerts, and more. Even college dances request Gerry Grimo and his Jazz ensemble and over and over again for their proms at Magdalen College in Warner, NH and now the newly discovered Lindy Hop Dance Club, at Middlebury College in Middlbury, Vt.

Lindy Hop is an example of what blending dance styles can produce. In this case, the African and European influence came together to produce something unique that has been loved by countless fans for the better part of a century now, in countries all over the world. Lindy Hop can be accurately described as a Partner Jazz Dance. The Partner bit is the European dance tradition, with it the varied repertoire of moves, steps and techniques. The Jazz part is the African-American tradition with expressive full body free solo movement. "Dance" of course, is something all people from all cultures do and have been doing since time immemorial. We're talking movement that is a part of the music, expressing the music, in a musical conversation and play with a partner.

Many other companies made good use of this old, newly discovered craze of the swing era and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is one of them as they organized a swing soiree for the benefit of their employees last year. "Everyone loves the Jazz Ensemble" says Melisa Leenders, HR Officer, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Iif you want to break through the clutter and have your message heard or simply give your employees a treat and an unforgettable night of music and dancing contact Gerry Grimo and the EBJE and book him for one of your functions. All it takes is having Gerry and His Band perform only once, and you, your guests and employees will be hooked and feel the power of music.

Gerry Grimo is no newcomer to this scene. With over 30 years of music and business sense under his belt, you can be sure your company's message is in very good hands. When one meets Gerry Grimo, director of the East Bay Jazz Ensemble, he sees a shy, soft-spoken career banker that somehow comes alive in his role as Emcee, lead singer, bassist, keyboardist, librarian, equipment manager and all around jack of all trades for the traditional style big band that has become part of his heart and soul. As a native of Bristol, RI he grew up listening to the big band sounds of his dad's outstanding collection of big band albums. Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Harry James, and Glenn Miller were household standards for the Grimo's. Growing up in the late 60's and early 70's, taking 10 years of accordion lessons, it was only natural to dream of being part of a big band like that some day. "I've seen the Glenn Miller story at least 20 times. That probably says everything you need to know about me" Gerry says.

Over the past (3) three decades Gerry Grimo and the EBJE have been a popular choice for weddings large and small and for Corporate Functions. Gerry Grimo and his band also get involved with non-profit organizations, benefit concerts, gallery openings or just special music nights at your restaurant or café. This is by far, your best, most affordable and versatile music choice in New England.
